Regulatory compliance is critical for us as a Marketplace. In most jurisdictions, online marketplaces such as us are required to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. These regulations mandate that we collect and verify certain information about our sellers to prevent any illegal activities such as money laundering.
How do I get verified?
If you encounter an issue shown in the following screenshots when withdrawing your balance or creating for-sale offer, this indicates that you have triggered the seller verification process.
To get verified, please check your PlayerAuctions registered email inbox for an email with the subject line ‘Your Account requires verification’. Reply to this email with the requested documents so that we can proceed with your withdrawal request or offer creation.
Sometimes this email can end up in your junk folder, so be sure to check there if you cannot see it.
How secure is my data?
Data privacy is the foundation of our verification system, we follow GDPR and CCPA guidelines, where applicable. In addition, all verification data is periodically purged, ensuring that none of your personally identifiable information is ever stored permanently.
What if I don't Complete Identity Verification?
To maintain the safety and security of our marketplace, we impose certain restrictions on sellers who are unwilling or unable to provide the necessary information for identity verification. These may include:
- Delayed Payouts: Seller will experience delays in disbursements. In some cases, these delays can extend up to two months to ensure full compliance and security of all financial activities on the platform.
- Restrictions on Offer Listings: Seller will be restricted from offer listings or have their existing listings removed until their identity can be confirmed.
We require all sellers to provide truthful documents for verification. Submitting non-trustworthy or replicated documents will result in a 90-day disbursement freeze and account suspension.
