Learn how to set up your PlayerAuctions API key. Follow our step-by-step guide to submit your application, configure IP whitelisting, and secure your secret key.
1. Request Access
- Navigate: Log in to your PlayerAuctions account and go directly to the API Management page.
- Submit Reason: Enter a brief Application Reason (explaining how you intend to use the API) and click SUBMIT APPPLICATION.
- Await Approval: Your request will be reviewed by the PlayerAuctions team.
2. Configure Settings
Once your application is approved, the configuration interface will become active:
- Assign a Name: Enter a descriptive name for your key in the API Name field to help you identify it later.
- Whitelist IP Addresses: For enhanced security, you must input at least one IP address from which your API calls will originate. (e.g, 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2)
Generate Key: Click the "ADD API KEY" button to finalize the setup.
3. Secure Your Credentials
⚠️ Important Security Warning Your Secret Key will be displayed only once immediately after creation. For security reasons, it will disappear permanently once you refresh or leave the page.
- Copy and Save: Copy the key immediately.
- Store Safely: Store it in a secure location (such as a password manager or encrypted file). If lost, you will need to delete the current key and generate a new one.
